Slide On the evening of November 9th, the Teaneck-Bergenfield-New Milford Community will come together to salute our heroes! Join us as we honor the incredible IDF soldiers who not only protect the State of Israel but are proud members of the Ezer Mizion Bone Marrow Registry, saving lives in Israel, the US and across the globe, every single day!

The evening will include a musical havdalah and mini-concert with music sensation Shulem Lemmer.

We will have the opportunity to hear from IDF soldiers about their experiences saving lives with their very blood.

The evening will be capped off with a fireside discussion with Pulitzer Prize winner and ardent supporter of the State of Israel, Bret Stephens, and radio personality, Nachum Segal. Mr. Stephens is the former editor-in-chief of the Jerusalem Post and Wall Street Journal foreign affairs columnist and is currently a New York Times contributing columnist. Stephens argued strongly against the Iran nuclear deal, asserting that it was even a worse bargain than the 1938 Munich Agreement with Nazi Germany.

Slide Ezer Mizion is Israel's largest paramedical organization with more than a dozen programs and services, over 3,000 employees, 30,000 volunteers and an annual budget of $130 million.

The crown jewel of the organization is the Ezer Mizion Bone Marrow Registry, the largest Jewish registry in the world with over 980,000 potential bone marrow donors and growing daily. The size of the registry allows the organization to facilitate over 30 lifesavings bone marrow transplants every month of the year in Israel, the USA and around the world.

Ezer Mizion has been able to grow the registry because of a landmark agreement and very special relationship with the IDF, a relationship the army does not have with any other organization: every new army recruit is offered the option to be swabbed at the Ezer Mizion clinic at the Bakum induction center. 50-60,000 new genetically diverse, young and healthy chayalim are added to the registry each year with over 545,000 soldiers in the registry today!

20 years ago, there was an abysmal 8% chance of finding a bone marrow donor for a Jewish patient; today, because of the Ezer Mizion registry, this number has risen to an astounding 76%. Growing the registry will allow Ezer Mizion to save even more lives across the globe!
