| The strong bond between Ezer Mizion and the Israel Police Force was eloquently expressed and the police force's sincere wish to benefit the ill and handicapped was fulfilled at Ezer Mizion's summer camp for special needs youngsters.
The Israel Police Force Community Services Division and the Civil Guard held "Police and the Community" days at two sessions of Ezer Mizion's sleep-away camps for children and young adults with special needs.
The Police Force put their best foot forward at these two action packed presentations, displaying a variety of their equipment and techniques for the thrilled camp participants.
The officers and policemen taking part in the activity days spared no effort to give the children a grand time and provided them with especially exciting and fascinating experiences.
The children stopped at all the many different display booths, shook the policemen's hands with a great feeling of importance, and even had a chance to try their hand at some of the tools that real policemen use in their work.
The policemen also staged victim rescues, employing the tools used for rescue missions, including a high altitude crane and a police helicopter that landed on-site.
The head of the Community Division and Civil Guard, Major Yoram Halevi, a fighter with a rich battle history, who came to visit at each of the police activity days, honored the campers, volunteers and staff by addressing them. He could not conceal his emotion and appreciation to Ezer Mizion for the opportunity to be part of the summer camp project. Ezer Mizion expresses sincere thanks to Major Yoram Halevi and to his team at the Israel Police Force for their share in making the summer camps the special experience it is for the children. |
