Ezer Mizion's Terror Orphan Program (TOP) mentoring program, made possible by the generous support of Mr. Peter Friedmann of Toronto, has recently branched out to include teenage boys. Since its' inception in 2003, the program has provided intervention for 100 children who lost close family members in terror attacks, helping to restore normalcy to their lives.
A program was recently initiated at a yeshiva high school in Samaria where a number of young terror victims are enrolled. One-on-one mentoring is provided within the school framework for the stated purpose of helping the youngsters with their studies. At the same time, the mentors, who are supervised by professional social workers, provide an emotional anchor and stability to help the boys return to age-appropriate daily routines.
