“Re’ut’s Club” Inaugurated in Kiryat Gat (01/10)
Ezer Mizion recently inaugurated an activity club for special needs children in Kiryat Gat. The activity club was named "Re'ut's Club" in memory of Re'ut Tzivyon who passed away six years ago at the age of nine.

"This club is the perfect way to perpetuate her memory," said Mr. Tzivyon, her father. Re'ut was always thinking of others. If she were alive today, she would be so happy to see the club."

The activity club will accommodate six special needs children at the beginning and will increase in the coming months. The purpose of the club is twofold, modeled after Ezer Mizion's "Beit Chana Activity Clubs".

The club will provide respite for parents of special needs children, enabling them to attend to the remaining children and to the daily needs of the household. It will also provide a meeting place for the children in which they will learn to associate with peers under the guidance of professionally trained staff and volunteers.

Ezer Mizion's activity clubs enable the children to make strides towards achieving their potential through the diverse projects offered at the club, including varied crafts, sports and care of pets.

Ezer Mizion currently has 15 such clubs throughout Israel, caring for 286 special children, some wheelchair bound, others with severe learning or emotional difficulties.
