| Ezer Mizion's Game Lending Library that serves the central Israel region, lending educational games to parents of children with special needs, is opening a new branch in Jerusalem.
Parents will be able to request games for specific purposes to advance their child's abilities, and will receive guidance to make the most of the playing experience when they borrow games to take home.
The Jerusalem Lending Library will also lend games to kindergarten teachers of children with special needs and will offer workshops to parents and caregivers about playing with children, and using games and directed play to promote language capacity and fine and gross motor skills.
In addition, Ezer Mizion has expanded its Game Lending Library by opening a new department to serve children who are hospitalized. The department's focus is to serve children with cancer, children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses and children who are unable to attend school due to prolonged serious illness.
The library's objective is to help the child and his caregivers pass the time in an interesting way, and to stimulate the child's brain and interest in constructive activities. Being busy with playing is natural for children and helps alleviate their pain and fear.
The types of games available for loan include games that the child can play solo or together with family members. The games have been chosen from among the most up-to-date on the market. Ezer Mizion is making efforts to further increase the scope of its Game Lending Libraries. Teachers are invited to create school projects whereby children abroad can sponsor funding for new games for children their age in Israel.
