For at least one day, 65 young mothers suffering from cancer were able to forget their medical problems thanks to a "Fun Day" in Herzliya sponsored by Ezer Mizion.
They were queens for the day on June 19, a day devoted exclusively to their indulgence. Arriving at the Kasiofeya Hall at 9 o’clock, they found a regal breakfast of fresh salads and sandwiches, cheeses and pastries awaiting them.
The program began with crafts workshops - macramé, jewelry making, fimo, flower arranging, and more. Under the guidance of professionals, the women created colorful and decorative items to take home with them, while learning new skills.
Rare pampering followed, as the women were treated to manicures, facials, and makeovers. Now, looking indeed like royalty, they enjoyed a rousing sing-along led by a well-known performer, and kicked up their heels to join in rounds of dancing
Following a delicious lunch fit for a queen, a performance by standup comedian Shalom Assayag literally had the women rolling with laughter.
"This was an enchanted day that really recharged our batteries!" said Ahuva, one of the participants.
Each woman received an expensive gift basket containing a bottle of perfume, soap, cosmetics, a watch, a radio, and much more. |
