Chaim Freilichman, CEO of Union Bank, and Tuvia Sofer, Igud's Marketing Network Manager, reported to the IDF Induction Center early one morning, as a display of the bank's enlistment to support Ezer Mizion in their project of collecting blood samples from new recruits as part of their induction process to enlarge Ezer Mizion's Bone Marrow Donor Registry.
At the conclusion of their visit, Freilichman and Sofer were treated to a personal tour of the area by Lieutenant Colonel Avi Attias, head of the Induction Center's absorption branch.
Transplants from IDF conscripts show a steady annual increase ever since the IDF entered their lifesaving partnership with Ezer Mizion and began to enable recruits to join the Registry as a part of their enlistment. At the end of 2011, IDF recruits represented 30.5% of the total donors in the Registry while they provided stem cells for 50% of the transplants for that year. |
