Irving and Gillian Carter and the Locker Foundation of London have donated a new ambulance to Ezer Mizion's Tel Aviv branch.  This is the second ambulance that the Carters have donated to Ezer Mizion, and the tenth they are presenting to the people of Israel.  This ambulance was donated by the Carters "to honour our parents and to inspire our beloved children and grandchildren".

Ezer Mizion's fleet of 18 ambulances transports dozens of mobility impaired individuals free of charge to medical treatment and health maintenance care at hospitals, clinics or doctors' offices. These passengers are bed ridden, critically ill or wheelchair bound and can not travel by public transportation or even by private vehicle.

The state-of-the-art new vehicle was dedicated at a festive ceremony hosted by Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv, Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau, at his home.  Participants included Chananya Chollak, International Chairman of Ezer Mizion, Chaim Freund, Executive Vice President of Ezer Mizion, Menachem Drach, Director of Ezer Mizion's Tel Aviv branch, ambulance drivers, and other VIP's.

Rabbi Lau, who is former Chief Rabbi of Israel, saluted the Carters, noting the importance of their philanthropic initiatives.  He stressed the critical importance of the new ambulance in serving the population of Tel Aviv, noting its vital role as Israel's business and cultural center.
