Over 40,000 sick, elderly, and needy Israelis throughout Israel were able to enjoy the Seder and ensuing Pesach holiday, thanks to Ezer Mizion's annual Kimcha Depischa pre-Pesach food distribution campaign.
Over 3,700 baskets of food that included wine, matzahs, chicken, fish, produce, and basic foodstuffs were distributed at Ezer Mizion's national headquarters in Bnei Brak, as well as in branches throughout Israel including: Herzlia, Holon, Jerusalem, Kfar Saba, Kiryat Gat, Modi'in Illit, Netivot, Or Yehuda, Petach Tikvah, Rehovot, Ra'anana, and Tel Aviv.
An additional 3,000 families received food coupons which ranged in value from $70 to $150. An additional 1,100 individuals received cooked meals throughout the holiday.
Companies, organizations, and private donors throughout Israel and abroad joined Ezer Mizion and contributed to this enterprise, with a total value of close to $650,000. Hundreds of volunteers of all ages and from all sectors of the population helped in the packaging, distribution, and delivery of the food in a campaign that provided for the needs and brought joy to so many this Pesach.
