Bat Mitzvah Talia Schiff celebrated her bat mitzvah together with her parents David and Debra Schiff and siblings Yaakov, Elana and Avigail with a trip to Israel and hands-on chessed at Ezer Mizion's Lottie's Kitchen. They were joined by Jerry and Beth Schiff and family and Benzion and Amy Blackman and family.

Bar Mitzvah Edmond and Terri Harary and their children Joseph, Charlotte, Ronnie and Michael came to Lottie's Kitchen to do hands-on chessed in honor of Ronnie's bar mitzvah. They were joined by lots of aunts, uncles and cousins from Jerusalem and from overseas, including grandparents Ronnie and Susan Menashe. Terri is one of the driving forces behind Ezer Mizion's annual Lottie's Kitchen event in Deal, NJ. She was very close to her grandmother, Lottie - so bringing her children and extended family to Lottie's Kitchen was a very exciting experience for them. |

Hands-on Chessed Ezer Mizion was delighted to welcome Rabbi Naftoli Besser and the Yeshiva of Flatbush Chessed Mission 2010. The energetic and efficient YOF students made sandwiches and packaged hot meals for distribution in Jerusalem hospitals and had a great time volunteering at Lotties kitchen. The students were inspired by the words of Linda Dayan, who spoke about the great chessed done at the kitchen that is dedicated in her mother's memory and the cause of her involvement in Ezer Mizion. |

Hands-on Chessed
Machanayim post-high school mid-winter tour did hands-on chessed preparing sandwiches for distribution in central Israel hospitals. They worked side by side with Ezer Mizion's dedicated volunteers in a group where the average volunteer age is 82 years old! |

Bar Mitzvah Aaron and Tammy Attias and their children Jonatan, Yael, Benjamin, Daniel and Rachel volunteered at Ezer Mizion's Lottie's Kitchen, together with the Attias and Abrahams families, in honor of Jonatan's bar mitzvah. Aaron Attias: "Thanks a lot for letting my family and myself participate in the preparation of the food that Ezer Mizion distributes. It was a very meaningful experience for all of us." Tammy Attias: "We did so many things while in Israel, that it wasn't until we got back home that we realized what a spiritually and emotionally inspiring trip it was. The morning spent at Ezer Mizion was so appropriate and fulfilling". |

Eisen Children Birthday Fund Lisa Eisen created the Tamar, Jacob and Judah Eisen Birthday Fund where friends and relatives can give a gift to Ezer Mizion supporting the Bone Marrow Donor Registry in honor of her children's birthdays. For the past five years the Eisen Birthday Fund has received donations honoring the Eisen children on their birthdays, and dozens of people have been able to join Ezer Mizion's Registry through the Eisen Fund's sponsorship of lab testing costs. Bat Mitzvah Melissa Chigger lovingly created gorgeous sets of pottery candlesticks with framed Shabbath candlelighting tefillah which she sent to Israel for Ezer Mizion to distribute to people in the hospital as her bat mitzvah project. She dedicated them: "We wish with all our heart that these candles will illuminate your life and bring you light and hope." Melissa also donated her bat mitzvah ma'aser money to Ezer Mizion. |

Kids for Kids: Toronto Carnival Chaya Pessi Blitz and Fraida Tabak from Montreal teamed up to coordinate a fabulous, highly successful carnival to benefit Ezer Mizion. In less than a week the two planned and prepared the fun event that was well attended by youngsters from the neighborhood. |

Spreading Purim Cheer
First, second and third grade boys at Yeshiva Tiferes Yisroel in Flatbush put together hundreds of shalach manos packages that were sent to Ezer Mizion for sick children and children with special needs in Israel, that spread the spirit of Purim. This Chessed project was coordinated by Rabbi Weiner, Principal, of Yeshiva Tiferes Yisroel and Mrs. Feigi Marmurstein, Volunteer Parent Coordinator, in memory of her late mother Mrs. Gitti Weissman a"h. |

Chessed Expedition Michael Drucker , Director of Jewish Life Program of Emanuel College in London, came to Beitar Ilit for a chessed expedition with 40 enthusiastic students. One of their stops was Ezer Mizion's Beitar branch. After hearing about Ezer Mizion's wide range of services and chessed activities, they left baby clothing and toys to be distributed to needy families.
