Celebrate With Us!

Make your occasion an Ezer Mizion celebration! Ezer Mizion will be delighted to help you come up with ideas to make your simcha a truly joyous event. We also offer certificates that enable you to honor a birthday, anniversary, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, wedding or other occasion with a donation to Ezer Mizion. Mazel Tov to the following families, who visited and celebrated the Bar/Bat Mitzvah of their children and other special occasions with Ezer Mizion. May they have much nachas and may we share many simchas together. Here are some of the ways friends of Ezer Mizion celebrated with us.

Bar Mitzvah
Jack and Michelle Maleh
and their parents Norman and Frieda celebrated the bar mitzvah of their son-grandson Murray together with his siblings Linda, Norman and Frieda by doing hands-on chessed at Ezer Mizion's Lottie's Kitchen in Jerusalem. They were joined by Uncle Jeffrey and Uncle Ezra and Uncle Moey Shabot who all took part in packing sandwiches for distribution in Jerusalem hospitals.
Yeshiva of Flatbush Alumni Chessed Mission
Rabbi and Mrs. Naftoli Besser and their wonderful YOF alumni group brought their warmth and enthusiasm to Ezer Mizion's Oranit Guest Home. They came with thoughtful gifts for the sick children staying there. They also did hands-on chessed in Jerusalem Branch Lottie's Kitchen and became part of our chessed network.
Hands-on Chessed Visit
Making their visit to Israel a hands-on chessed experience, Morris and Marcy Tbeile together with their children Rachel, Solmon and Ceasar and their cousin Sharon Madeb, packaged snacks at Ezer Mizion's Jerusalem Lottie's Kitchen that were later distributed in Jerusalem hospitals providing nourishment and comfort for patients' families.

As part of their Israel experience, American boys from Yeshivas Toras Shraga had a great time doing hands-on sandwich preparation for distribution in Jerusalem hospitals to families of patients
Hands-on Chessed Visit
Deko and Michelle Sakhai
, accompanied by Victor Quinn, visited Ezer Mizion's Bnei Brak branch to volunteer at "Ruth's Kitchen", where food is packed for distribution, in the merit of Eli Sakhai and family. During their visit Deko and Michelle stepped in to lighten up the day of the Special Needs Children at Ezer Mizion's Beit Chana Activity Clubs.

Kids for Kids: Toronto Carnival

Chaya Pessi Blitz and Fraida Tabak from Montreal teamed up to coordinate a fabulous, highly successful carnival to benefit Ezer Mizion. In less than a week the two planned and prepared the fun event that was well attended by youngsters from the neighborhood.
Bar Mitzvah
Abie Cohen
celebrated his bar mitzvah in Israel with his parents, David and Karen Cohen, siblings Rochelle, Morris and Rene, grandmother Shelly Cohen, aunts Sarina Roffe and Joyce Lieb and cousin Michael Lieb. They all had a wonderful time packaging food in Lottie's Kitchen for distribution in Jerusalem hospitals.

Bar Mitzvah
David and Marni Gindi celebrated the Bar mitzvah of their beloved son Morris, by coming to Ezer Mizion's Jerusalem branch Lottie's Kitchen to prepare food for distribution in Jerusalem's hospitals. They were accompanied by Morris's brother Joey and sister Jill, Aunt Marjorie Kairey and her daughters Jill and Victoria.

Spreading Purim Cheer
First, second and third grade boys at Yeshiva Tiferes Yisroel in Flatbush put together hundreds of shalach manos packages that were sent to Ezer Mizion for sick children and children with special needs in Israel, that spread the spirit of Purim. This Chessed project was coordinated by Rabbi Weiner, Principal, of Yeshiva Tiferes Yisroel and Mrs. Feigi Marmurstein, Volunteer Parent Coordinator, in memory of her late mother Mrs. Gitti Weissman a"h.

Hands-on Chessed Visit
Ezer Mizion was delighted to welcome Rabbi Besser and the Yeshiva of Flatbush Chessed Mission 2009. The energetic and efficient YOF students made sandwiches and packaged hot meals for distribution in Jerusalem hospitals and had a great time volunteering at Lotties kitchen. The students were inspired by the words of Linda Dayan, who spoke about the great chessed done at the kitchen that is dedicated in her mother's memory and the cause of her involvement in Ezer Mizion.

Bar Mitzvah
Albert and Amy Zaccai celebrated the bar mitzvah of their son Joey in Israel. Together with extended family and close friends they volunteered at Lottie's Kitchen, packing cakes and snacks to be distributed at Jerusalem's hospital outpatient clinics.
Bat Mitzvah Melaveh Malkah
Jo and Sarah Kranzler and their daugthers Shoshana, Aliza, Elisheva and Avigayil and relatives celebrated the bat mitzvah of their beloved daughter Tamar Rivkah together with the special needs girls of Ezer Mizion's Beit Chana Activity Clubs. The beautiful event was enhanced by a wonderful group of girls from Machal who showered their love, warmth and enthusiasm on the children, sparking them with true joy and exuberance.

Lucky Dassi Rosenstein celebrated her bat mitzvah in Israel with her loving parents, Dan and Audrey Rosenstein, and her siblings Moshe, Shani and Tani. They all volunteered at Ezer Mizion's Jerusalem Branch Lottie's Kitchen preparing food for distribution in local hospitals.

Sammy and Pamela Kassin
were in Israel celebrating the bar mitzvah of their son David, together with their children Eddie and Lauren, and proud grandparents Edward and Diane Dweck. They all came to prepare food at our Jerusalem Branch Lottie's Kitchen, which is named in memory of their (great) aunt, Lottie Chalom, who - as they said - "would be very proud of this place!!!".

Eisen Children Birthday Fund
Lisa Eisen created the Tamar, Jacob and Judah Eisen Birthday Fund where friends and relatives can give a gift to Ezer Mizion supporting the Bone Marrow Donor Registry in honor of her children's birthdays. For the past four years the Eisen Birthday Fund has received donations honoring the Eisen children on their birthdays, and dozens of people have been able to join Ezer Mizion's Registry through the Eisen Fund's sponsorship of lab testing costs. Each of these lab tests has the potential to save the life of a child or adult cancer patient anywhere in the world.

Hands-on Chessed Visit
Bob and Lisa Melamed
and their children Barbara, Asher, Becky and Rosie spent part of their trip to Israel doing chessed at Ezer Mizion's Jerusalem Branch Lottie's Kitchen. This was a direct continuation of Lisa's involvement with the fabulous annual Deal, New Jersey "Lottie's Kitchen Event", where she is among the driving forces of the Lottie's Kitchen Cookbook .


Bat Mitzvah
Rivka Fendrich
celebrated her bat mitzvah with a mother-daughter trip to Israel. They made sure to come to Ezer Mizion to prepare sandwiches for distribution to people staying with patients in Jerusalem hospitals. They had a great time at this special chessed experience.

Daniella Basis
is an avid volleybal player. For her bat mitzvah chessed project she chose to provide the special needs children at Ezer Mizion's Beit Chana Activity Clubs with 35 volleyballs, rallying friends and family for their support of this undertaking. Mazel Tov to Daniella and her wonderful parents!

Michael and Monique Saka
came to Israel to celebrate the bar mitzvah of their son Sammi together with their family. Part of their itinerary was to prepare sandwiches at Ezer Mizion for distribution in hospitals in Jerusalem.

Hands-on Chessed Visit
A group of 16 -18 year old students visiting Israel with NCSY's Summer Program are spending time volunteering at chessed organizations. The "Give" group, led by madricha Riva Preil , wholeheartedly prepared delicious sandwiches and packaged cakes for distribution in Jerusalem Hospitals.


Chessed Expedition
Michael Drucker , Director of Jewish Life Program of Emanuel College in London, came to Beitar Ilit for a chessed expedition with 40 enthusiastic students. One of their stops was Ezer Mizion's Beitar branch. After hearing about Ezer Mizion's wide range of services and chessed activities, they left baby clothing and toys to be distributed to needy families.
