Chananya Chollak: Ezer Mizion Founder and International Chairman

After Chananya Chollak's father-in-law suffered a stroke that paralyzed half of his body, Chananya got to know the world of hospitals very well.

Exposure to illness and hospitals inspired Chananya to develop ways to help sick people and their families cope with the seemingly insourmountable difficulties facing them.  His home became the address for people suffering from illness, disability, or crisis:  Ezer Mizion.  Since then, Chananya has devoted himself to expanding Ezer Mizion's circle of kindness.

Oranit & the Ezer Mizion Bone Marrow Donor Registry: Dr. Bracha Zisser, Founder and Director

Dr. Bracha Zisser has a special place in her heart for children with cancer. Together with her husband, Motti, she founded Oranit, Ezer Mizion's guest home for children with cancer and their families. She is also the founder of the Ezer Mizion Bone Marrow Donor Registry and a board member of Shaarei Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.

Bone Marrow Donor Registry: Ofra Konikoff, Transplant Coordinator

Formerly the organ transplant coordinator at Beilinson Hospital, Ofra Konikoff fell in love with the Ezer Mizion Bone Marrow Donor Registry shortly after its inception. Since then, Ofra has served as the Registry's Transplant Coordinator, matching patients in need of life-giving bone marrow with genetically compatible donors

"I am deeply attached to the registry and am personally involved its life-saving activities time after time. My dream is that no one should ever need us.  But as long as there are people who do, I want to see the Registry grow so that it can provide them with the bone marrow vital to their survival."

Medical Referrals Department: Shimon Rogoway, Director

A yeshiva graduate, Shimon Rogoway has always had a special interest in the field of medicine. Years of independent study and hands-on medical involvement have made him a veritable treasure-trove of medical information.  He uses his vast knowledge to help thousands of people navigate the often-bewildering world of medical conditions, doctors, and treatments.

"I see my work and the Medical Referrals Department as a desperately-needed bridge between the medical establishment and the individual grappling with health issues," says Shimon.

Children's Division: Daniella Hamenachem, Director

Daniella Hamenachem is a neurological physiotherapist specializing in young children's development. Involved with the Children's Division from the day it began, Daniella has watched the division grow from a modest lending center for pediatric physiotherapy equipment to a nationwide network that helps children with special needs and their families in innumerable ways.

"My dream is to help every child to be accepted - at home, in school, and in society."
