Professor Ze'ev Rothstein, Director of the Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan, visited Ezer Mizion's National Headquarters. In view of the close ties between the Medical Center's administration and staff with Ezer Mizion volunteers, Professor Rothstein was accompanied by Mr. Yeki Kidar, Administrative Director of the hospital.
The visit included a tour at Ezer Mizion of the different on-site departments. The tour was followed by a meeting where Professor Rothstein was updated on additional programs and services coordinated by Ezer Mizion and future plans were discussed.
The visit concluded with a feeling of closeness and partnership in working for patients and their families.
Ezer Mizion provides extensive assistance to patients hospitalized in the Sheba (Tel Hashomer) Medical Center. This is carried out by an Ezer Mizion branch, located on the hospital premises, that provides a wide range of services to the patients and their families.
Services at Ezer Mizion's Sheba Hospital branch include:
- Free loan of medical and rehabilitation equipment
- Supply of hot meals to the families of hospitalized patients who stay at the patient's bedsides
- Operating cafeterias in hospital outpatient clinics that provide refreshments for patients, their families and hospital staff
- Assistance in the hospital to patients, to their families and to the staff
- Visiting, support and assistance to the families of the ill and the hospitalized in their homes by volunteers
- Nursing assistance and support for the infirm
- Free ambulance transport for mobility impaired patients upon their release from the hospital
