Tel Aviv Mayor’s Award for Outstanding Volunteering (01/08)

Ezer Mizion's Tel Aviv branch has earned the 2007 Tel Aviv Mayoral Award for Outstanding Volunteers.

The ceremony of Tel Aviv Municipality 2007 Mayoral Awards for Outstanding Volunteers took place at the Janice and Philip J. Levin Tel Aviv Yafo Music Center.

58 nominations were submitted to the awards committee, of which 23 individuals and groups were selected to receive the Mayoral Award for Outstanding Volunteers including, as stated, the Ezer Mizion chapter operating in the city.

The Mayoral Award was bestowed upon Ezer Mizion volunteers for their outstanding services for the infirm, the elderly and handicapped in Tel Aviv.  Mrs. Esther Fromm, a 12 year veteran volunteer who is involved in packing meals and food distribution service to patients and their families, was chosen to represent the volunteers.

Ezer Mizion’s Tel Aviv branch, directed by Mr. Menachem Drach, offers a range of programs and services including patient transportation with volunteer drivers, free loan of medical and rehabilitative equipment, providing warm meals to people confined to their homes, to family members of hospitalized patients, home care attendant services, support for the elderly and more.

All of these activities are performed by the many volunteers who are dedicated to assist the elderly, the handicapped and the ill.

Tel Aviv Ezer Mizion volunteers – We’re proud of you! May you continue to help others in good health and happiness.
